Obituary for Charles E Mento

Lambertville: Charles E. Mento, 88, died Sunday May 9, 2021at the Jefferson Health Hospice in Warminster, Pa.

Born and raised in East Boston, Charlie received a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from University of Massachusetts in 1955, a Masters Degree in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY, and a Masters Degree in Marketing Xavier in Ohio. For a number of years Charlie was employed by General Electric and he retired from Fibertech working as a sales representative and in the marketing division.

Living in Denville NJ for a number of years and for the past 18 years in Lambertville, NJ, Charlie was very active in the Kiwanis Club, was an avid New York Giants fan and a Boston Braves fan when they were still in Boston. He was a member of the Lambertville Kiwanis Club, and a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. He and his wife Ursula enjoyed traveling in their motor home and was an active member of the TCW Twentieth Century Wagontrainers Motor Home Club.

Son of the late Charles and Michaelena Lunetta Mento, he is survived by his wife of 65 years Ursula Miranda Mento, three daughters Cynthia Dick and her husband Howard, Laurie Weinstein and her husband Mark, Susan Becker and her husband Peter, his grandchildren Caroline and Geoffrey Dick, Michael, Steven, Andrew and Joshua Weinstein, Evan and Miranda Becker, and four great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday May 14 at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 44 Bridge St. Lambertville. Burial will follow in the Holcombe Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Twp. Calling hours will be Thursday May 13 from 6-8 pm at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville, NJ.
