Lewes DE: Donald T. Burke, Sr. 86 died Wednesday May 19 at his son’s home in Lewes DE.
Born and raised in Newark, Don had lived in W. Amwell Twp. since 1972 and in Lewes since 2017. Don served in the United States Army and received his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering. He retired as a Senior Engineer from AT & T after a number of years of employment, Don was a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church,
Son of the late Patrick T. Burke and Jennie Markiewicz Burke, widower of Grace E. Burke and father of the late Donald T. Burke, Jr. he is survived by his son Steve Burke and his wife Leigh Ann, four grandchildren Lauren, Madison, Ryan and Tess Burke.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday May 24 at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 44 Bridge St. Lambertville, NJ. Burial will follow in the Harbourton Cemetery. Calling hour will be from 9:30 am to 10:30 am Monday at Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s R.C. Church, 13 N. Main St. Lambertville, NJ 08530.
