Lambertville: Elizabeth E. “Betty” Cursley, 91 died Sunday January 10,
2021 at the Hunterdon Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, Betty grew up in Flora Park section of Long Island.
Elizabeth had lived in Lambertville since 1983. She retired from the State
of NJ, Department of Corrections as an administrative assistant, in juvenile
corrections in 1998 after many years of employment.
She loved living in the Hunterdon County and Bucks County area and was
a daily visitor to Bulls Island enjoying what nature had to offer and the Bald
Eagle sightings along the Delaware River. She was an avid landscape
painter and was a member of Artsbridge in Lambertville. One of her many
highlights in life was a trip she took to Italy.
Daughter of the late John and Jeannette Rowland, widow of Frank Cursley,
Sr. and mother of the late Frank J. Cursley Jr., she is survived by one
daughter Jeannette Campagna, two sons James Cursley and his wife Sue
Patella, Anthony and Christina Cursley and four grandchildren.
Graveside services at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lambertville will be private
under the direction of the Garefino Funeral Home in Lambertville.
