Obituary for Ella M Starr (Houghton)
Stockton: Ella Houghton Starr, 84, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Rolling Hills Care Center, Lebanon, New Jersey, after a short illness.
Born and raised in Stockton, Ella lived in Southern California for more than 30 years, including Glendale, Big Bear Lake and a number of years on a boat before moving back to Stockton to care for her mom. Ella earned the
position of principal at Bank of America in California. She loved to travel, including trips to Las Vegas, Parx Casino, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of coffee and crossword puzzles with friends.
Ella was predeceased by her parents Raymond Houghton and Stella Suozzo, and her brother Raymond Houghton, and is survived by her cousin Eleanor Scarboro, second cousins Robert Scarboro and Jeanette Neise
(husband Erich), sister-in-law Barbara Houghton, and close friend Terry Slemmer.
