Frank J. Welsh, 83, of Pittsburg New Hampshire, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 11, 2020, after a recent period of declining health. He was born in Lambertville, NJ, on Jan. 31, 1937, a son to the late Oliver and Nola (Updyke) Welsh. He was raised in Lambertville and was a graduate of Lambertville High School in 1956. Frank worked for a time for the New Hope bag mill, but later started his own company, owning and operating Frank Welsh Roofing in the Sergeantsville area for more than 40 years. He was a passionate hunter and fisherman which is what brought him to the north country of New Hampshire in the early 1970s, where he eventually purchased land and a camp and which later became his home when he retired in 2004. He was a life member of the Lambertville Elks Lodge #1070, and a life member and past Chief of the Sergeantsville Vol. Fire Company, Station 47 in Delaware Township, NJ. Frank was also a life-long member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Stockton Rod & Gun Club. He is survived by his three daughters, Donna Pickett and her husband Robert of Frenchtown, NJ, Debra Kantorski and partner Chris Cwiek of Pittsburg, and Denise Welsh of Pittsburg; two sisters, Beatrice Fresco of NJ and Wanda Mims of North Carolina; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will held Saturday, September 5 th at 11:00 am at the Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Twp. ,NJ, under the direction of the Garefino Funeral Home.
