Obituary for Joan E Marriott

Lambertville:  Joan E. Marriott, 62 died Monday August 24 at Capital Health in Hopewell Twp.  A lifelong resident of Lambertville, Joan graduated from South Hunterdon Regional High School in 1976 and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rider University. Joan was a devoted member of Old Rocks Church in W. Amwell Twp, where she was a member of the Choir and taught Sunday school.  For many years Joan worked as a waitress at various restaurants in the area including the Lambertville House, Bells Bar and the Copper Hill County Club to name a few.  For a time she taught at  the E.S.C School in W. Amwell Twp. and the Titusville Academy.  Her latest employer was  Community Options as a department manager where she helped those with developmental disabilities, caring for them with compassion and dedication.  She enjoyed gardening and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Daughter of the late Richard W. “Bill” Marriott, Sr.,  and Joan Ettenger Marriott and sister of the late Richard ”Ricky”  Marriott Jr., she is survived by one daughter Nicole Sturick,  two brothers Doug Marriott  and his wife Katherine,  Jack Marriott  and his wife Terri and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place Saturday August 29 from 3-6 pm at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville, NJ.  Graveside services will take place Wednesday September 2 at 6:30 pm at the Holcombe Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Twp.  Lambertville:  Joan E.
