Obituary for Joan C Pierman

Joan Ehrenfeld Pierman, 80, passed away suddenly, surrounded by her family, on Monday, October 21 at Capital Health Medical Center in Trenton, NJ. Born in Milroy, PA, Joan was raised in New Britain, PA. She was a 1956 graduate of Central Bucks High School in Doylestown. She moved to Lambertville, NJ with her husband, Bob, 55 years ago. They owned and operated Foster Wright Cranor Florist in Lambertville from 1984-2006. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville and was also an active member of the Lambertville Ramblers football organization for many years. Joan was a loving mother to her four daughters and a wonderful mother-in-law. She was “Mom-Mom” to her ten grandchildren and she loved spending time with them more than anything in the world. She enjoyed baking, dancing with her husband, and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events. Joan is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bob Pierman; her daughters, Carol Shurts and her husband Bill, Yvonne Zampetti and her husband Lou, Barbara Tumler and her husband Brian, and Christine Pierman and Jim Fry. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, Brittney, Jason, and Jeffrey Shurts, Louie, Mathew, and Michael Zampetti, Brooke and Briana Tumler, Robbie and Danny Rose, and her step-grandchildren, Nicholas and Matthew Fry. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Shirley Teschner, brother-in-law, Jim Pierman, and many nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her infant daughter, Brenda. Joan is the daughter of the late Charles Ehrenfeld and Maude Ehrenfeld Winner, and step-daughter of William “Pop” Winner; and sister of the late Eleanor Reynolds, Clem Ehrenfeld, Jean Stumpff, and Louise Peters. She is also the sister-in-law of the late Charles and Tom Pierman. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26 at 11am at Garefino Funeral Home at 12 N. Franklin St., in Lambertville. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, in Lambertville. Calling hours will be Friday, October 25 from 6-9pm and Saturday, October 26 from 10-11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 237, Lambertville, NJ 08530 or the First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville.
