Obituary for John H Furstenberg
John H. Furstenberg, 69 passed away Sunday March 5, 2023 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Twp.
Born and raised in Lambertville, John graduated from South Hunterdon Regional High School. He lived in Flemington for many years and in Kingwood Twp. for the past 22 years. His favorite hobbies included his classic corvette, collecting Elvis memorabilia, coin collecting, working on his house and yard, hunting and fishing.
John previously worked at Cold Springs Bleachery in Yardley, Pa, Fisher and Porter in Warminster, Pa. and for General Motors in Linden NJ.
Predeceased by his father John Furstenberg and his mother Edith Voorhees Furstenberg, he is survived by his sister Mary Ann French and her husband Paul, of Lambertville, his niece Dawn Shiron and her husband Rob and their children Alyssa and Anthony of Hamilton, his nephew Paul French, Jr and his wife Jennifer and their children Emily and Ryan of Flemington.
Funeral services will be held Friday March 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville, NJ. Burial will follow in the Holcombe Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Twp. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
