John Randolph Ireland was born November 19, 1945 and passed away at home with his wife by his side on April 5, 2020. Randy grew up in Solebury and attended Solebury high school. During those years, he and his family would winter in Sanibel and Captiva, FL of which he had many fond memories. After high school he worked briefly for his uncle’s company in Walnut Creek, CA. Following that, he lived in San Miguel, Mexico and then in Juarez, Texas, eventually returning to New Hope, PA in 1967. He then worked for Francis Lovett as a carpenter, and became passionate in the restoration of the areas historic homes. Following Francis’ death, he co-founded Jericho Valley Builders in 1973. He retired in 2002 at the age of 58 at which time he pursued his love of 18th century fine furniture making. He loved gardening and exploring nature. He spent hours reading about the history of our country and the genius behind it. In more recent years, he discovered his talent for painting landscapes, enjoyed spending time at the shore house, along with bicycling and boating. He was always excited by life, each day, and each challenge. He lived his life as he believed, with honesty, preservation of history and nature and for love of our country. Son of the late George Ireland and Jean Mueller and brother of the late Susan, he is survived by his wife Susan Aneskavich Ireland: Daughter Margaret (Edward Spindler) Son John Ireland (Susan) Grandchildren Zachary and Maria Blackburn Sisters Jean Beans & Lise Bowles (James) Brother George Step mothers Kathy and Alice Ireland Mother and Father In-law Robert and Lorraine Aneskavich Brother In-laws Robert and Joseph Aneskavich.
