Obituary for John Wilson Sr.
John A. Wilson, Sr., 80 passed away Monday March 27, 2023 at Capital Health, Hopewell Campus.
Born in Trenton, John was raised and lived in Lambertville and W. Amwell Twp. before moving to Levittown Pa., for 16 years then moving back to W. Amwell Twp. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964 as an Air Policeman. A machinist by trade he worked for Schutte & Koerting Manufacturing in Trevose, Pa. for a number of years and then retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural route mail carrier out of the Stockton NJ Post Office.
An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, sailing, gardening and traveling.
Son of the late John W. Wilson and Ellen Lane Wilson, widower of Carol Bowers Wilson, brother of the late Robert and Stephen Wilson and grandfather of the late Joseph Britton, he is survived by his daughters Kimberly Britton and her husband Scott, Cyndee Sindelar and her husband Martin, his son John A. Wilson, Jr., his brother Larry Wilson and his wife Kathy and his sister-in-law Linda Wilson and his grandson Thomas Britton.
Private burial with United States Air Force Funeral Honors will be held May 9, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pa.
