Obituary for Lois J Grohe
Lois J. Grohe, 73 passed away suddenly on Monday October 3, 2022, at the Hunterdon Medical Center.
Born in Clifton NJ, Lois had lived in Delaware Twp. since 1983. She and her late husband Jeff owned and operated the Towne House Restaurant in Lambertville from 1975 to 1985. She also enjoyed cooking and had worked at many area restaurants over the years. For many years she was the office manager for her son’s landscaping business, Grohe Landscaping. Lois was a loving mother, grandmother and family was the most important part of her life. She was also a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church.
Daughter of the late Vincent Horant and Estelle Aichelman Horant, widow of Jeff Grohe, she is survived by her son Robert Grohe and his wife Melissa, her grandchildren that she adored Landen and Dilan Grohe, brother-in-law Gerard Grohe and his wife Diane, nephew Christian Grohe, her cousin Lorraine Uzzolino and her dear friends, Peggy McCarter, Janice Fox.
Funeral services will be held Saturday October 8, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville, NJ 08530. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for Lois’s grandchildren. Envelopes for this will be provided at the funeral home.
