Lambertville: Marilyn “Kit” Riley died peacefully in her
sleep on Saturday December 18, 2021 at St. Mary’s
Hospital in Newtown, PA.
Born in Lynn MA, she lived in Lambertville since 1971. At
the age of 42, she began her undergraduate studies at
Rutgers University where she received her Master’s
Degree in Psychology followed by her Doctorate from the
California School of Professional Psychology. A self-employed
psychologist, she had a private practice in
Flemington from 1991 to 2013 before retiring. Kit was a
member of the Copper Penny Players, where she enjoyed
performing Broadway tunes and old jazz standards with
her friends. She could also be found singing the night
away at Odette’s piano bar in New Hope.
Daughter of the late George Pappas and Helen Ring
Pappas, widow of Kevin Riley, she is survived by her
daughter Erin Riley and her son Chris Riley, his wife
Dayna and four grandchildren, Lauren, Julian, Cameron
and Madison.
A memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2022.
