Obituary for Michael J Casey
Michael J. Casey, 93 passed away Tuesday August 30 at the Brookdale Care Center in Hillsborough.
Born and raised in Lambertville, Mike served in the United States Navy for 22 years earing the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer retiring in 1988. Following his time in the service, Mike worked 26 years for the Internal Revenue Service in Newark, NJ and Washington DC.
Living in Warminster, Pa. since 2002, He was a member of the Warminster Veteran’s of Foreign War Post # 6493 and into his 70’s Mike played softball in the Warminster Senior Softball League. Mike also enjoyed dancing especially swing and ballroom dancing.
Son of the late Jack and Angelina Casey, widower of Olga Waugh Casey and father of the late Michael Casey and brother of the late Jack and Gale Case, Mary Schmoock and his twin sister Florence Casey, he is survived by his sister Delores Rittmann and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday September 8 at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Bridge St., Lambertville. Burial with full United States Navy Funeral Honors will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 -10:30 am at the Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St. Lambertville, NJ 08530.
