Obituary for Robert J Palermo
Robert James Palermo passed away on Monday evening, July 26, 2021 at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, in Philadelphia. Born in Jamestown, New York, Bob was a resident of Hainesport, NJ.
Son of the late Carl C and Rose (Angelo) Palermo, he is the husband of Dr. Carol L. Guarnieri-Palermo, father of Robert James, Jr. Michael Joseph and Gina Rose Palermo-Werkheiser. (Brendan) He was the brother of the late Russell R. Palermo (Alice) and Carl T. Palermo. He survived by his brother-in-law Harry L. Bender (late Rosallie) and Dr. Raymond J. Guarnieri , nieces Irene DeMartin (Michael) Paula Palermo-Paquin (Michael) His nephew Russell R. Palermo, Jr. (Tonya), the late Thomas C Palermo and Rachel. Krista Guarnieri Booth (Adam) Tricia Guarnieri Costello and a host of cousins he
A graduate from Jamestown High School he received his B.S Degree in Business Administration, at Rider College (University) and was employed with Atlantic Richfield (ARCO), owned Millside Shell, worked as a Sales Associate with Triboro Pontiac and Pellegrino Chrysler-Jeep, in Woodbury, New Jersey.
Bob was an avid sports fan. He loved the Phillies, Yankees and Eagles. He played golf on a regular basis and participated in golf outings at Rowan University and Deborah Heart & Lung Hospital. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend. He was a communicant at St John Neumann Catholic Church in Mount Laurel, NJ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday August 9, 2021 at 11:30 am at St. John Neumann Church, 560 Walton Ave, Mount Laurel, NJ, 08054. Visitation will be Monday August 9 at the Church Hall from 10:30 to 11:15 am.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John Neumann Church 560 Walton Ave, Mount Laurel, NJ, 08054 or The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
