Amwell Twp.: Robert J. Tumler, “Bobby” 56 died Monday January 28 at his home. A lifelong resident of W. Amwell Twp., Bobby graduated from South Hunterdon Regional High School, class of 1981. He retired from the Insulators Local 89 in Trenton after 30 years of employment. An avid hunter and fisherman, he belonged to the Whitetail Gun Club, the Mt. Airy Sportsman’s Club, the Union County Sportsman’s Club, the National Audubon Society, the National Rifle Association and the American Legion SAL for more than 27 years. A true sportsman his favorite college football team was the University of Alabama Crimson Tide.  A very generous person, Bobby contributed to a vast number of organizations both locally and nationally on a regular basis and fed and cared for wild birds and livestock. He is survived by his parents Jake and Veronica Tumler, his paternal Grandmother Violet Johnson, his brother Brian Tumler and his wife Barbara, his sister Lisa Schell and her husband Harry, his nieces whom he adored, Rebecca, Megan, Melissa, Brooke, Briana, his longtime companion Lisa Loth and many friends and co-workers. It was Bobby's  wish not to have any memorial services held at the time of his passing.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Union County Sportsman’s Club 50 Sportsman’s Club Lane, Millmont, Pa. 17845.
