Obituary for Sylvester Joseph Sammartine
Sylvester Joseph Sammartine, 90, of Corona, NY passed away on May 16, 2023. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Lucille. He is survived by his loving daughter, Jane Eiseman and her husband David. Cherished grandfather of Kimberly Mate and her husband, Bryan, and Ari Arnone.
Best known for his stories of the army, his childhood friends, his favorite (and only) grandchild, his bus driving days and his recent Assisted Living antics. He was an endlessly entertaining man with a sharp sense of humor who is now making people laugh in the Universe with all the friends and family who passed before he did.
In lieu of flowers, please eat ice cream in his memory. He asked that his services be private but we will be preparing a memorial, which will be held via Zoom at a later date.
