Veronica (Roni) Tumler, 80, passed away peacefully in her home on May 3, 2023 after a long battle with
Born on July 30, 1942 in New York, NY she moved with her family from the Bronx to Hamilton Square, NJ at the age of 15. After graduating from Cathedral High School in Trenton, NJ she met her husband Warren (Jake) Tumler and they moved to West Amwell, NJ to raise their family.
She worked as a teller at the Hunterdon County National Bank and continued as head teller through the bank transitions until finally retiring with Wells Fargo in 2004. Her biggest joy was spending time with her entire family. A loving wife to her husband Jake of 60 years, a devoted and loving mom to her 3 children, a much-loved mother-in-law and was lovingly referred to as grandmom or Mimi by her 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She played the lottery every week and when not at home enjoying her gardens, she could be found at their cabin in Pennsylvania, at the casino or at the beach.
She was predeceased by her father Frank Pollak, her mother Josephine Pollak, her husband Jake and her
son Robert “Bobby” Tumler. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Schell and her husband Harry; her son
Brian and his wife Barbara; her grandchildren Rebecca Violante (Mike), Megan Bowers (Tyler), Melissa
Andress (Ryan), Brooke Tumler and Briana Tumler; her great-grandchildren, Henry and Harry Violante,
Jake and Joelle Bowers.
It was Roni’s wish not to have any memorial services. Memorial contributions may be made in Roni’s memory to Memorials Processing St. Jude’s Children’s research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
