Virginia Lavan, 80, passed away at home on October 16th, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Ginny was a long time resident of West Amwell before relocating to Bordentown, NJ. She was born March 31, 1939 to the late John and Pearl Heck, and sister to the late Priscilla Brown and Nancy Micinski. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, James Lavan. Loving mother of Patricia (Mark) Rossi, Kristine (Tim) Blake, Cynthia (Robert) Fulper, and James (Michelle) Lavan, Jr.  Cherished Mom-Mom of Melinda (Richard) Zola, Collin (Adam) Rossi, Jessica (Omar) Coleman, Christopher Noble, Myles Blake, Breanna (Reid) Lundy, Chelsea (Kyle) Davis, RJ (Allison) Fulper, and Mikayla Fulper. Devoted great grandmother to Charlotte “Baba” Zola, Kaden Davis, Mckenna Coleman, Jaxon, Skylar and Trinity Noble. Virginia took great pride in her home and her family. Although cooking wasn’t her favorite thing to do she was always sure to bake her families favorite pies every single holiday. On beautiful sunny days you would find her sitting on the deck in the sun watching the birds. On chilly days she would be cuddled in GG’s chair in the den enjoying the fire. Either way, she always had a black lab at her feet. Regardless of the season when you walked into Mom-moms home she welcomed you with a hug and a sweet treat.   A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 2:00-4:00pm, with a service at 4:00 pm at Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St., Lambertville, NJ 08530. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice online at , or may be mailed to, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, New Jersey 08053.

Ginny and Jim - long time friends! In years past we vacationed with them several times. Out to dinner often. Visited each other's homes regularly. Ginny was a lovely person. Hard to believe she's gone from this world. So sorry Jim. ~ trudy norton, Titusville, New Jersey
