Obituary

Henry Karl Zeberg, age 85, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, NJ. Born in Trenton, NJ, and a lifelong resident of Hopewell Township, Henry was an Army Veteran who owned Zeke’s General Store, a gas station & delicatessen in Pennington, NJ. He operated Zeke’s for many years after taking over the business from his father, Karl “Zeke” Zeberg. Henry enjoyed playing golf, landscaping, wood working, going to Island Beach State Park every summer, trips to Atlantic City and working on projects around the house. He took pride in his house landscape year after year and had an eye for that perfect green lawn. Henry was also an avid bowler and had a special passion for tournament bowling which he excelled at immensely and won numerous awards. Son of the late Karl and Mary (Zuczek) Zeberg, he is survived by his three daughters, Debra Stevens of Lawrenceville, NJ, Wendy Re and her husband, Adam of Newtown, PA, Janine Yannis of Henderson, NV and his four grandchildren, Ross, Dayna, Brooke and Brianna. Private services for immediate family only will be under the direction of the Garefino Funeral Home in Lambertville, NJ.

Dear All - So very sorry for your loss. I will always remember spending time with your Family in the pool, playing crochet, getting beat at basketball and Monopoly but what I will always remember about your Dad was lunch time and him always wanting to feed me Turtle Soup! Will be thinking of you all at this difficult time. Sharon Oravsky (Feller) ~ Sharon Oravsky, Pennington, New Jersey
